Our Legacy…

Founded in 1983, Central Park Christian School built a legacy of academic excellence, spiritual formation, athletic distinction, and global diversity. For decades, graduates matriculated to four-year universities, served in the military, entered the workforce, and pursued technical education — with the overwhelming majority continuing on to higher education across the United States and abroad. The school became known for cultivating disciplined scholars, strong character, and nationally recognized athletic programs while welcoming students from around the world who went on to earn degrees and establish meaningful careers.

  • In 2018, in a providential transition, Central Park Christian School was entrusted to Rock City Church under the leadership of Pastor Mike McClure Jr.. What followed was not merely a change in name — it was a repositioning of vision.

    In 2021, the school officially became Rock City Preparatory Christian School and relocated to the Rock City Church campus. During the global COVID-19 pandemic, the school pivoted swiftly to virtual instruction, maintaining academic continuity while prioritizing student support and spiritual stability. Upon returning to in-person learning, leadership prayerfully refined the school’s focus to serve Kindergarten (K5) through 8th grade, strengthening its foundation and clarifying its mission.

    Now, after seasons of growth, prayer, strategic development, and renewed commitment to excellence, Rock City Preparatory Christian School is expanding once again — relaunching 9th grade and rebuilding a comprehensive secondary pathway for families who desire Christ-centered education through high school.
